More Problems With Sync'ing
    I'm back.

Round Two.

I have my entire library sync'd to my Zune as of 12/1/07.
Since then I have added roughly 73 songs to my library.
Every time I go to sync the new files to my Zune the following happens:

1. The Sync Now button after being clicked takes 3 minutes just to get to 1%.
2. After sync'ing for OVER 2 HOURS, I come back and the process is at 59% with 65 items skipped.
3. About another hour of COD4 later, I come back to it finished with 73 items skipped, all of which being the new songs I wanted to add.

Can anyone explain:
1. Why the sync takes forever?
I've tried different usb port, different sync cable, never took this long before 12/1, blah blah
2. Why the Zune Software is skipping the new files being added?
Not Added: 73 Items Skipped
Can't Sync
Error Summary:
An Unknown Error has occurred. For more info, Click Web Help.
Error Code:
C00D11CD
3. Are any Zune30g users out there running smoothly with no problems?

I really wanna go back to before this stupid Zune2 bologna.

Thanks again

re: More Problems With Sync'ing
Haha I think Zune 30 users running without hicks are a tiny minority. My Zune still doesn't sync properly - I had to switch to manual sync, which is a real pain, especially because you can't sort songs by whether they're on the device or not. Not to mention the wireless sync refuses to work for me and that's just one headache I can do without for now.

See, I got my Zune 30 back from the shop after the Zune2 Program had launched, you still have to update to 2.2 yourself, but the only problem I have is Wireless Sync refuses to work. Otherwise it all works.

have you tried to reboot the Zune? (back + up) Rebooting will not reformat or clear all data off the device.

COOD1249/COOD124D

Anybody had any success resolving these error codes?  (COOD1249 / COOD124D)

COOD1249 was resolved by switching USB ports...

But now it wont sync, and I get error code COOD124D.

I've tried all the usual fixes with no success.   Angry [:@]

re: More Problems With Sync'ing
I have a different Items Skipped problem.  In my case the message is "Can't find the item.  It might have been moved, renamed, or deleted".  There is no error code other than this message.  In a sync list of 1000 songs Zune might sync 3-5 of them.  If I manually sync again, it might add a couple more (I guess they are suddenly "found").  One time it actually synced close to 100 of them.  The odd thing is that I can play every last tune (using Zune itself) that it says it can't find.  The tunes (as do videos) play flawlessly so I am not inclined to suspect a network physical interface problem.  I tried an uninstall/reinstall with no joy.  I then used the metadata repair tool (thinking that the pointers to the files were hosed) but still no joy.  All files are on a Windows Home Server machine in the default Music, Video, and Photos folders.  The trouble PC runs Vista32 Business.  The Zune software works perfectly from another machine running Vista64 Business accessing the same WHS server (and yes, I am absolutely sure I installed the correct Zune builds!).  The problem machine is running Zune with a Limited account while the "good" machine is running Zune with an Administrators account.  The library is large - 21,750 songs, 750 videos, and 23,300 picures.  I have two Zune 80s, both of which run fine on the Vista64 machine, both of which blow chunks on the Vista32 machine.  Any ideas?

re: More Problems With Sync'ing
Only issue I've had is some album information hasn't been updated, but that's because it wasn't tagged properly in the first place, lol.  Other than that I'm running smoothly.  Oh, I could also use about 50 more gigs of space for the same price I paid for my 30, but that's cool.  Maybe when I fill this one up I'll sell it on Ebay or something for money towards a bigger one.  I'm currently at 4707 songs, 309 pics, and 2 videos with 7.35 gigs left and may reduce the reserve space to top it off, hahahaha.  I guess that leaves me with about 105 more albums at 15 songs a piece.  I love it!!!!!!

Oh yeah, wireless sync works great too!  I'll go and download songs (mmm hmmm, won't say where), and then when I figure their done downloading, just wireless sync from anywhere in the house, and voila!!!  Sorry to be such a downer for those that are having issues, I just love gushing about my Zune.  And no I don't work for Microsoft, but they pay well, so I wouldn't mind.

re: More Problems With Sync'ing
My Zune will not sync the music that I loaded using a USB thumb drive.  It loaded into my collection just fine and I am able to play it on the Zune program.  It just wont sync!  I tried manually drag and drop then I tried automatic sync.  I am able to sync podcasts and freebies from the Marketplace, just not my own stuff.  These are songs accumulated thru various web sites (not itunes).  HELP!!!Tongue Tied [:S]
