Zune pad wont work??
ok ive literally had it for 2 days and suddenly the Zune pad stopped working!!

the back and start work but the main pad wont is there anything i can do???

they need a reset button that doesnt involve the touch pad!!!!

Just play something on your device until the battery drains. Then recharge and restart the device. This is usually the first thing tried in this situation.

im so dumb i found a Solution!!

I found a fix for this problem. Simply connect the Zune to your PC, open the Zune software (It usually automatically pops up), click Settings in the top right hand corner, then select Device. Erase all content on your Zune and it will reboot automatically. My pad started working as soon as I did this.

and it worked again!!!!

I'm having the exact same problem. I've had my Zune for about 6 months, and never had a problem with it until now. I plugged it into an AC adapter, it restarted itself a few times and now the Zune pad won't do anything. I can't even turn the thing off. I'm just going to wait for the battery to die and see if I can do anything upon recharging it. :P

Otherwise, Microsoft's hearing about this.

ya just delete all content from the zune softwere on the pc i over looked that but it fixed i all, not sure why but it did none the less!!

I just tried that, and it worked again...until I turned the Zune off and on again. Now it's messed up again, and it restarts every time I connect it to the computer and it tries to sync up :P Gah.

i have a 4 gig and i have a password on it and the pad dosntlet me scroll up or down to let me put the password in ive tried restarting it and checking if its on hold and i cant plug it into my computer because you have to put the password in first

any suggestions

please im hopless?

you still should be able reset it thru the software, when you plug it in does your zune software reconize that its plugged in???
if so then justreboot it thru Options, if not then im not sure what to say >_<

Hey All,

The up, down, right, left buttons on my zune are not working at all but all the other controls are working. According to what I've read on here so far it says to drain the battery, which I'm doing right now, and than after that what do I do next? Do I have to erase all the content?

dont need to drain the battery just plug it into your zune software on the pc and go to options the select format/erase all content and it will fix this problem
