Great Reggae Artists and Their Best Songs
I've been trying to find good reggae artists, but I'm having a tough time. So, what are your favorite reggae artists? What are their best songs? What's a great song even though the artist is terrible?

lol I don't like Ziggy too much, but Bob is good (obviously). I have all of those except for Lucky Dube. Thanks!

My favorite "classic bands" Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh

For sweet songs: Beres Hammond, Luciano, UB40

My favorite Marley boy is Stephen

Interesting dub-poet Linton Kwesi Johnson

Newer stuff of various flavors Jah Cure, Buju Banton

Too many more to list

a few of my fav artists and songs...steele pulse - roller skates, eek-a-mouse - ganja smuggling, gregory isaacs - night nurse, bob marley - rastaman live up , 3rd world - 96 degrees in the shade...i love roots reggae

Check out Tim Armstrong, the Slackers (kinda more ska though), Toots and the Maytals, Skatalitles

Queen Ifrica is fantastic. So is Tarrus Riley; listen to his 'Parables' album because it's nothing but good music. As others have said, the Marley brothers are always worth listening to.

Dub Inc. (French)- Rudeboy, Murderer (Amazing band if you can find them)
Bedouin Soundclash- Living in Jungles, Criminal, Midnight Rockers (<--- dis band lay dat irie sound)
The Dingees- Could Be Worse, We Rot The Voodoo
Horace Andy- Skylarking
Pablo Gad- Black Before Creation, Hard Times
The Mighty Diamonds- Reggae Man
Lucky Dube- Feel Irie
Junior Delgado- Bush Master M16
The Congos- Praise H.I.M.
Christafari- Thief in the Night, Talawa (really heavy christian lyrics though. Oh well, good music)
