zune car pack not working

hey just want to know if this happnd to anyone else or if anyone has any idea how to fix it. i just bought a zune  car pack, the fm transmitter and it doesnt work. whenever i connect my zune my zune plays but there is no sound coming out of the speakers, also the zune sometimes restarts when i connect it to the car pack. i know it connects because the zune charges when it is plugged in but it doesnt play any sounds. i tried to fix it by resetting my zune and when i tried to sync all my songs back onto it it downloads a little bit then i get an errir that reads zune has stopped responding. does anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using the FM transmitter? If so do you have it on the right station?

Hi, this is currently happening to me.  I have only had the car pack for 8 months and it worked beautifully up until a few days ago.  I am on this site trying to find out if it is covered under warranty, but can't find a thing about it.  What's the deal with it?!  If I have to buy a new one, I'm switching over to Ipod instead.  This Zune stuff seems crappy.  I have only used my Zune for the last 8 months also and it is giving me problems.  Unfortunately it is out of warranty, so I will buy Ipod when it does die finally.

yea i was using the fm transmitter and it was on the right station.i tried it several times, i even had the salesman from best buy install it but it still didnt work.ive sent it in for repairs

I have a 1st gen Zune and the same thing is happening to me. My Zune plays, but the music isnt playing from the speakers. I tried different stations and no go. One thing I did notice though is that if you unplug the car pack from the zune, it doesn't automaticaly pause like it should. It's like it knows that it's supposed to charge, but doesn't know that it's supposed to be playing music through the car pack. I havent tried resetting my zune yet. Could have this been caused by the latest update because that's about the time mine stopped working?

I also have a first gen zune and now all of a sudden the same thing is happening to me. I got the zune car pack as a christmas gift last year and it's been working great up until this past weekend when the sound just crapped out on me. Zune still works just fine, and averagefro, I too noticed that when you unplug the car pack, the Zune is supposed to pause but it doesn't. I just updated my Zune a few minutes ago and went to try it out in my car and it still doesn't work. What's the deal?

Same problem here. I've looked everywhere for a solution and I'm ready to give up and just make mp3s on Itunes (I have an iphone). Radio is garbage these days, which is why I purchased a Zune Car Pack. Somebody's gotta have the answer cause this is ridiculous. :|

Not sure if this will make any difference or not, but I remember during the last firmware update that it included an update for the FM transmitter as well.  But it only updates the FM Transmitter if you power off the zune first, then plug in the FM transmitter and power on the Zune.

I have a Zune 4, 80, HD.  all work with the FM transmitter V2.

 

 

Tried that. Didn't work. I kept resetting my Zune and turning it on and off again and nothing. I guess I'll just call customer service and see if they can help me out and if not, I'm sending that stuff back to the factory and getting a new one cause this is ridiculous. Same Problem with me.. My transmitter stopped working.

Mine just did this on Wednesday. I have a 16GB HD with freshly installed 4.3 firmware. It has been working fine for a month and now, nothing. Not at all happy about this, I haven't renewed my XM since we've been using the Zune instead!
