So, my Zune was on low battery and I went to go charge it on my laptop. I should've known there was something wrong when I hooked it up and the Zune Player didn't load up or even acknowledge the Zune was hooked up, but it slipped my mind--and it was charging for 3+ hours. I could see the huge battery with the bolt in the middle just fine.
When I unhooked my Zune to listen to music, it said it was on low battery. That kind of caught me off guard since I let it charge for 3+ hours. I went to a different computer and tried to charge it through there, and the computer still didn't recognize the Zune Device--however, I can still see the battery with the lightning bolt in the middle.
I read online to just reset it or reboot it--and I tried that, but my Zune kept telling me I had low battery---so it won't do anything.
I read somewhere else online that I should just drain the battery and then try to recharge it. That required me to press/hold the play button so it keeps turning on and off. After awhile, the low battery signal just started to fade on and off. I'm still holding onto the play button for the past 20 minutes and now, I see the low battery signal faintly and it would disappear slowly (it disappears as the pixel lines fades away...kind of weird) and reappear again. I don't know if I've drained the battery completely or not, but I still see that low battery sign--but very very very faintly.
I tried to charge it--still no Zune detection--but I get a very very faint battery with the bolt in the middle....
Has anyone ever experienced this problem and what can I do?
Thanks
BTW: I've tried three different computers and two different sync cables so I know it's definitely not the sync cable or the computers...It's definitely the Device.
