somethink hinky
Something is a little hinky here. I have music on my device that I downloaded when I first got my zune and I subscribed to the zunepass. I had to do a scrub of my PC and reinstall Zune hardware. Knowing that my device would no longer "manage" the music already on my zunie I tried to re-download some music but found that for instance Arcade Fire is no longer available to me.  I chose a song from Neon Bible as one of my 10 free downloads and now it seems as though I cannot download the rest of the album (album only message) which should be available thru my zunepass subscription. It is not just this artist and I only have one computer and two devices--- What gives?

re: somethink hinky
I tried to look up the definition of 'hinky'...no success, LOL...
I'm not completely sure what your problem is...but some of this may help you pin it down, or give you info to post back here for better help.
1) I hope you reinstalled the zune software, not hardware on your 'scrubbed' PC.  However, if you log into the same zune account and you linked your zune to the reinstalled zune software, your pass should work fine, your purchased music should work fine, etc.  The software should manage your collection and sync according to whatever your sync settings are now...it would only 'not' manage stuff it thinks is from another PC...but logging in and linking would put the software (if set to smart sync) on this PC in charge of collection management.
2) You can redownload protected (which are all wma) files from the marketplace a handful of times, unless of course, the marketplace lost the license to sell those tracks.  You cannot redownload unprotected (MP3) files at all.
3) It is possible the record label for Neon Blue decided to stop offering tracks and only offer full albums.  MS has no incentive to do that...but they have to abide by the contract with the supplier.

Urban Dictionary
Time to educate NSILMike a tad:

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hinky

  1. Something as yet undefinable is wrong, out of place; not quite right
There's something hinky about the deal.
  2. A cop's version of "I've a bad feeling about this."
An event or thing which is
    1) Out of whack
    2) Wrong
    3) Off kilter
Those brownies taste hinky to you?
  3. The instant of knowledge when one becomes deeply aware that there is pure evil afoot.
They knew something was hinky when they came back to the car, and there were bullet holes in the truck.
  4. A state of being vaguely suspicious.
The girls got hinky and got outta dodge.
  5. Corrupt or Faulty
The MP3 file would not open for me, but it did for others, it was being hinky.
  6. Adjective: To simultaneously act odd, insecure, jumpy, untrusting, and suspicious
If he's THAT hinky NOW, imagine what he'll be like to work with later!
