re: Help Zune frozen and can't restart.

My zune has stopped working!  I don't know what happened but I was listening to it earlier and stopped to watch tv and when I picked it up again it didn't turn on.  I tried restarting it but that didn't work and I have looked at the troubleshooting FAQs but they don't say anything.  And I don't have my hold button on (I checked).

Sorry, I was a little emotional when I posted the first time so let me exlain myself.  I have an 80GB Zune and have had it since when they first came out with the touch pad.  I haven't had any problems with it until now.  Of course my warranty is up and I don't know what to do if I don't have my music.

And I can't connect my Zune to my computer.  None of the buttons work and my Zune is completely unresponsive.

I have the same problem with my 120 and it's under warrenty.  Won't come on, nothing works.  I put in for a repair three weeks ago and I get to the screen where it says print the shipping label and when I press next, I get an error message. Went back to the page and did all the stuff to have the label sent to me and agan an error message.   Called twice and got a live body some place on the other side of the world from Brookly, NY  and three weeks later no label. 

Is anybody home?  Makes me want to scream and go out an buy an ipod!!

the same thing happened to me, you have to literally freeze it, put it in the fridge for 24 hours that try to charge it, it works! i did it today

I'll try that 'cause I have been trying for the past three weeks to get my Zune repaired, I'm still under warrenty, and I can't get the label printed or get Microsoft to send me the label to ship my Zune.  It seems the link is broken on the On-line repair.  I talked to two differnt folks 10 days a part and was told the label would be shipped.  I still have no label and no working Zune, so I'll give the fridge a try.

Okay some how it fixed itself so I'm all happy now.  My dad was looking online at the help thing and I hadn't registered my Zune yet, so we did that and were looking at the help things.  I told him that I had already done all that but he kept on going, and when it got to the stage where it wanted you to plug your Zune up to your computer I did and it started charging.  I was like OMG IT'S FIXED and it's charging right now.  I think my house has ghosts because ghosts steal energy from batteries and my Zune lost all it's charge in an hour.

Dang it, it did it again.  Next time I get it working I'm gonna completely reboot the hardware.
