Zune 120 no longer in canada?

Am I missing something?

www.futureshop.ca doesnt even list the Zune 120 nor does www.walmart.ca. www.bestbuy.ca has a SWEET deal on the 120 with a home a/v back and car pack for 199, but sold out online and i've checked 7 stores in the GTA and they have 0 in stock. Whats going on here? I dont want to order it from the zune website, id rather go to a retailer today and pick one up.

Yeah, was strange to find that future shop does not list the Zune 120 and Wal-Mart seems to have dropped the Zune completely. I do know the source does list the Zune 120 online. So could check there.

Wow that's wierd. I'm sure there are other stores that sell the 120 but I'm suprised Futurshop doesn't sell them anymore, unless there's something wrong with the website. I've seen two of exact same products listed before a couple of times and half the time the search bar doesn't even work so i wouldn't doubt it. Try calling them instead.

Also, I woould suggest waiting for more info on the Zune HD before buying the 120 since it's supposed to be out (in the US at the least) by September so they'll probably have more info within the coming months. I know that's a while but I remember when I got my 80 a few months later they released the 120 at the same price I paid, so I'm just saying I don't want you to feel like you lucked out after you bought it like I did. My cousin rubs it in my face sometimes with his 120 lol.

it is getting harder and harder to find zunes locally...the walmart i work at had one zune 120  (and thats it) as of last Tuesday...
HMV's sell zunes, my local one even has a zune 80 - a very rare find these days...  you have to call the stores to check their stocks... I find that online versions of the stores to be unreliable.

Is it just the hard drive players that are disappearing in Canada of the flash ones too?

The flash players seem to be much more common and seem to be in stock but a few websites like futureshop are also attempting to sell the flash players at discount rates. So maybe they are attempting to lower their current stock on both hard drives and flash players.

i think it's because of the zune hd, didn't they say they wanted it to replace the current players? Although I thought they said just the flash players. So far the rumor is the HD will be in 16gb and 32 gb, there's no way people who are looking at the 120gb will want a 32gb Zune lol.

im getting upset with stocks as well, they should work on getting players inn as well if they want to make more sales too, plus if youve heard about the zune hd, thats gonna be a dissapointment if they hold of its release to canada as well.

re: Zune 120 no longer in canada?
I actually managed to snag one during the sale at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago, but I found that the one I got had some sound problems. I really like the player and called to see if they had any more in stock so I could exchange it and the girl I spoke to at the store said that they didn't have any in stock in the city let alone Canada. I asked if they would be getting any new stock soon and she said that it didn't look like anything would be coming in. I mentioned the new Zune HD and she suspects that they're clearing out the old stock for the new player. That means I'll be returning mine to the store, which is really disappointing. Anyway, I hope this helps. I think the best place to buy one is here on the Zune website now. I noticed that the 120GB player is down to $229 now.

Re: re: Zune 120 no longer in canada?
Yah the best place to buy is probably zune.net. I remember when the 120gb came out i thought the 80gb would be discontinued and I could find a way to return it and get a 120gb lol. But I guess there's no chance of that now. Yah they're probably getting rid of the old players to replace them with the Zune HD, which is kind of sad because the latest rumor is that the ZHD will be in only 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb and the 16gb will cost around $250-280, which is about the price of a 120gb. People have a choice between iPod Nanos, Classics, and Touch so why can't we? I can easily fill up my 80gb right now but I took out all the videos I have to make room. Don't get me wrong, the ZHD is an amazing device and I want one, but not for less than 64gb and if I do get the 64gb (if they make one) then I don't want to pay 3 times as much as I payed for my 80gb a little over a year ago.
