Error code C00D1249
I made a mistake, i just purchased a Zune. That was the mistake. Now i have a $250 paper weight. 19 days old...... purchased 4 days before the RROD (red ring of death) on my xbox.... im seeing a trend here. Windows Vista 32 bit 100% all updates, zune 120 gb error code C00D1249 and error code C00D11CD. Started having problems when i recieved errors when trying to play music purchased from zune pass.(is this a conspiracy?) zune kept saying that the DRM expired on this music sync with computer to fix problem. Synced with no problems, disconnected from computer attempted to play music, same problem drm expired. decided to remove all music from player when player rebooted it said i needed to reinstall firmware. It gets to 23% most of the time and then tells me failed, other times will go all the way through reboots player sits and thinks for a bit then informes me that the update failed. depending on how far it gets depends on which error code i get. have attempted ALL suggestions in the help sections. Does M$ have any quality control?

Hi, Just a suggestion , did you call customer support. They seemed to be very helpful when I called them. The number is 1-877-GET-ZUNE (1-877-438-9863). It really is not a bad product and I also have a 80GB Ipod.....I perfer to use this.

re: Error code C00D1249
I got my zune back from repair ppl, they were nice enough to send me a bricked zune. Dead pixels on screen HUGE crease in metal on back and would not sync with my computer. I went through all the bs of getting yet another return box, sent it in they sent email that they recieved it and have heard nothing since. I called customer "support" and spent 3 hours on the phone. They have no idea where my zune is. The support website has no way to check the Service Request Number. From other posts this would indicate they are sending a new zune? If i track via email how this worked, i have this time line. 2 months to get to texas from iowa via UPS, as the email says it was recieved on June 25, it was fixed THE SAME DAY!! and then shipped the following day on June 26..... something fishy there. Still not sure if ill ever see my zune again, but if i dont get a real live new one ill run down to my local wal-mart buy a new one and slide the one they sent back in the box and return it...... i have had enough of M$ and their customer support.  If i ever have any more issues with this stuff ill just return it to the place of purchase for an exchange or refund, its far too much work to have to deal with this company, and i think they are counting on ppl to give up long before they ever end up getting results and thats why the sites and phone support are so long and drawn out.
