Zune Pad "Frozen"
I charged my Zune with a car charger and then turned it off for the night. The next morning I turn it on and the touchpad didn't work. I can't scroll with it at all, and if I press the pad in any direction it recognizes it as a simple selct command, as if I was pressing down on the middle of the pad. It still works properly otherwise, it still plays the only video I can selct given the circumstances. And it stills synchs normally. I tried restarting it but I can't because when I press up on the pad it thinks that I'm pressing down on the middle. What do I do?

Connect it, and in the zune software (settings) reinstall games...this reinstalls a bit of the firmware, but more importantly, it reboots the zune device.  As soon as it's done, reboot it again.  Good luck!

It works! I thought based on posts describing similar problems I'd need to replace it. I didn't think it'd be so simple. Thank you!

Good!
Advice:   from now on, boot your device more frequently.  You can reboot immediately by holding back and up, or at the next start up by holding back and down (to shut down.)  I almost always shut down this way...you only lose the 'fast' start-up, but you gain fewer problems and a tad better battery life by shutting down instead of using sleep mode.
