I'm running Windows XP Pro 32-bit. Awhile back I uninstalled the Zune software with the intention of reinstalling it, but then had an unrelated PC problem and had to perform a System Restore, which undid the uninstallation. Now, my Zune software won't boot up at all even when I connect my Zune. I uninstalled the Zune software again (via Add or Remove Programs) and reinstalled it, but the problem still persists. I tried uninstalling the Zune software by using a clean start as explained here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929358 but that didn't solve my problem either. I also tried using Unzoone, but got the same result. I checked the Event Viewer and nothing regarding the Zune software is being posted. When I check the Task Manager, it shows ZuneBusEnum.exe running as usual and when I try to run the Zune software, Zune.exe pops up for 3-4 seconds but then goes away.
Any ideas what I can do to get it up and running again?
