Ok.... so I know my WPA PSK and I have set up every other device I own. The PSK >IS< correct, dig?
- So I bounce to the Zune software, pick my network, set it up and give it the passphrase... spin, spin, spin... nothing. Total failure.
- So I double check... spin spin spin... nothing.
- I temporarily kill security - and blammo, all is well.
- I turn it back on, entering the same 63char PSK as before... and no dice.
- Using a short (8 character) PSK seemed to work, but there is no way in hell I am using a 8 char PSK
- A 61 character PSK seemed to work, as did a 62 character.... so there seems to be a array bug in there somewhere?
This is a Mode N / G router, the D-Link DIR-655. It is in WPA-Personal move, with WPA "only" encryption on (which means only TKIP on this router). Enabling mode B changes nothing. I am somewhat loath to have to change the PSK on my devices, but Windows Connect Now makes that simple enough if need be and for now, the one character isn't going to ruin my security. But it should be fixed.
I'll wind up holding off buying the 80gig model till I know for sure this little stuff is dealt with, my 30 is fine for now.
