Lasers

This supposedly what Lupe Fiasco third album is called and he still is thinking about retiring after this album which is dreadfully sad since he's one of the most original and talented emcees out there in the game

What are your guys thoughts on him retiring and if I get any more info on his album I'll post it

i hella dont want him to retire.. i pretty much lost faith in hip hop for a while, cause all i ever hear is club joints.. not many mainstream albums come out that actually have meaning anymore.. it seems like only chi-town is bringing it back to that.. so if it is lupe's last one.. it will be a sad day for hip hop

Feel the same way man just can't imagine Lupe retiring already it's gotten so bad I can't even listen to the radio with artist with a lil or boy in there name every second

yea.. i feel you and everything.. names don't really bother me too much tho.. its mostly what they rap about.. i miss actual hip-hop.. like old school black eyed peas, nas, wu-tang.. stuff like that.. and that's one thing lupe has been bringing back..

i get what you mean man.. what i was trying to say tho, was the fact that the content is what gets too me.. most mainstream stuff is just the same stuff over and over.. and i hate repetition and ignorance.. so i've been mostly on a r&b kick recently..

lately ive been listening to ny cats like Kool G Rap and Big Pun

I have been listening to some new cats like kid Cudi who's pretty impressive not all new rappers are bad there just mixed in with the bad crowd if you know what I mean

yea.. i get you man.. that's why i'm trying to get more into non big label stuff.. like yea.. kid cudi, p.o.s., and that kind of stuff.. so far, their stuff is good.. but i always have my zune on full random.. so i'm not too sure how much of their albums i've actually listened to yet.. i need to get big pun's stuff.. all i've ever really listened to is "still not a playa" and a couple random songs he was featured on, cause of lack of money back in those days.. but yea.. if you find any other underground or non big label people, post on here.. i check every time i get a new "medal".. and yea.. i need some other "new" good stuff..

yeah i definitely put some new artist but lately ive been discovering duds but I keep my eyes peeled for a fellow hip hop head

Lupe Fiasco is the best to ever do it. It will be a sad day when he retires, whenever that day comes.
