re: Songs will not delete

yes i have about 5,000 songs in my collection...and recently i just recently opened up zune software and everysingle song in my collection doubled! so i went through and deleted every duplicate song. After i did that i realized that some songs i didnt want anymore....so i right clicked on it and i clicked delete and it will not erase the song!...and iv tried all methods of deleting it and it still will not go away.....any help???

Part of a 4-Zune family

There is a file that the zune software creates as an index to your collection.  It sounds like file corruption in that file is your culprit.
Use windows search, and set it to show hidden, system files.
Search for zunestore.sdf
Rename it to zunestore.old
Start the zune software...your collection will initially be completely empty, but after a few seconds it will start finding things.
With a bit of luck, your dupes problem is solved.  (This has solved similar dupe problems for others.)
If you have any podcast subscriptions, go to that section of the software, and select them one at a time and click subscribe.
