Can't activate Zune Pass card?

I purchased a Zune Pass card at Best Buy today to add to an existing subscription. When I try to redeem it, I get an error "Can't redeem your code. Please try again." Does it take some time from purchase at a store to make the card "live?" Or am I now screwed since I've already scratched the area and it won't redeem?

You might want to contact support (877.GET.ZUNE) about that.
