Zune 30 Never Went Through Z2K, Yet still problems.

I have a Zune 30 that has been sitting on my desk for months and decided to fix it by adding a new HDD since the original HDD failed on me. This 30 never went through the heck that Z2k brought on all the 30's so I'm not pointing the finger at Zune here. The Zune 30 seems to be very fast and extremely responsive no lag at all and is even more responsive than my 80 (except when I select the "setting" menu) here is where we get into the problems. The "settings" section all together lags a little (this annoys me) and when I try setting up a "screen lock" the Zune will lag for about 1-2 seconds (music still playing flawlessly) and then I get the "screen lock" header with nothing under it (so I can't even set a screen lock), I can go back and everything’s fine. Dose anyone know why the screen lock is un-responsive?

One more issue that is very annoying, whenever I plug my 30 into my PC i get a "Password Confirmation" window asking me to re-enter my Live ID(since it's linked to my account, so is my 80 if this means anything), this is a issue that confuses me.

I’ve rested my Zune multiple times and this does not fix anything.

UPDATE 2/6/09: During playback of music, the system rebooted for no reason, what could this problem mean?
(This Happens Regularly, but only when im listening to a certian song, and somtimes it wont reboot, somtimes it will.)

Sounds like that particular song file got corrupted.  Try dragging it out of the monitored folder, and sync your zune.  Then drag it back and re-sync...this will get a fresh copy onto the zune device.  If the reboots go away, you're done...the copy on the device was bad.  If not, then the PC copy is probably bad.  Re-rip the song (or get a fresh copy from whatever marketplace you acquired it) and replace the copy on your PC (and repeat the first process, to get that new copy onto the zune.)

ya, apparently it isnt just the song.... this happened withsome other random ones too. Any other ideas?

Also. Do you have any idea why my Scren Lock won't work? This annoys me more than the Zune restarting itself.

It sounds like you might have a corrupt firmware install on the device... you may want to restore it.  Warning..this will completely erase your zune...
