Zunes in Vancouver - a forum for us.

What's up with the local music scene? Where's the best place to find a Zune in wi-fi range for tune-swapping?

There are a bunch of Zuners at the Microsoft Canada dev centre. Haven't spotted a single Zune anywhere else (yet).

I'm not looking for conversion - just peaceful co-existence!  Hopefully Microsoft will put a few ads out there to let the public know that Zune exists.

So... How far can they be away to connect??
Because I'm on vancouver island and so far I am the only person I know of that has a Zune.
I know more ppl probably have them but I can't find any Sad [:(]

I tested out the connection distance at a local Best Buy (all their display units had the wireless on).  The max distance to make a connection with other Zunes appears to be about 25m. (I was using a Zune 4GB. The 80GB device in the store appeared to have the greatest range as it was the last one I lost connection with as I walked away.  I think we need Zune t-shirts or caps or pink & orange shoes to identify ourselves to one another!

That kinda sucks that you would have to be so close
I think the next upgrade should be a distance upgrade so you can be like a couple kilometres away or something.

Just trying to say that upping the transmitter power to have a range of, say, 20 kilometers would generate a little bit of heat.

Might as well use it...  ;)
