Freezes on Start Screen

Right in the middle of watching a video and my Zune shuts off and re-boots.

When it's re-booting it freezes, I tried resarting it but it stayed frozen.

I connected it to my computer, nothing happened, software didn't even pop up....HELP!!!!!!

im having the same problem ive tried everything people have been saying, connecting to oher computers, trying to restart but nothing seems to work, has anyone found a solution to this problem?

hmmm... pretty freakin weird that two topics, about ten people (as far as we know), and exactly the same time all of our first gen zunes aren't working anymore, stuck on the same screen... someone tells us wtf is wrong with our zunes please

Yeah same here the other thread is rolling too. So was this some sort of 2k9 thing? It seems really messed up that we all are on here searching for answers. But at least we can all say yeah I was there for the big Zune crash of 09'.

Unfreakin believeable we own 3 zunes i have 1 both of my sons have 1 each all 3 froze today is this a oversite on microsofts part?

i turned mine on and it is froze on the zune screen, when i plugg it in it does not do anything and when i try to restart it it doesnt do anything,what should i do anyone no?

omgg.
mine did the same thing to me.
i turned it on.. and it froze on the start screen.
wtf? i tried the system restore thing, plugging  it to my comp, but nothings happening.

what's going on with this?

I have 4 and they are all doing the same thing. ill call i have the 30 gig with the latest software update. has anyone contacted  microsoft about this yet?
