Any other frozen 30gb Zunes?

Last night I tried to turn on my Zune, and it looked like it was going to work. It started to load up at the Zune screen, but then it froze!I did everything I could possibly do, I tried resetting it and it still didn't work! I let the Zune sit by itself for about 5 hours and when I tried to turn it back on, the battery sign showed up so I recharged it. I really was convinced that it would finally unfreeze and work, but all the Zune did was freeze back up at the Zune loading screen. I've seen many people with similar issues, is there anyone that would mind giving me some help? Thanks!

I don't know what to do! It totally pissed me off this morning, I had over 4,000 songs on there, now I have to start from scratch

The same thing happened to me. After looking around on the internet, it appears that many others are having the same problem. Strange that it is affecting everyone on the same day. Maybe there is something wrong with the clock.

Edit: to be clearer, the zune is frozen on the loading screen. No known button combinations (reset, format HD, etc.) have any effect, neither does hooking it up to a computer.

I would plug it in just in case. Making it run out of battery while loading will probably make it worse due to corrupted files.

I wish MS would at least acknowledge the issue. Say something smart like, "we know about the problem and are currently working on a solution." But they're not and taking the cowardly way out. Or they're having NYE parties and too drunk to notice. One or the other.

Froze here too, called support and was told by machine that due to bad weather there was no support available.

I unplugged the battery for ten seconds and that seems to have fixed the problem. Instructions on how to open can be found at http://www.rapidrepair.com/guides/zune/zuneassemblyguide.htm Just be very careful and stop at step three :)
