New Zune User from Texas
Hello, I'm a recovering IPOD user and my hubby went on Amazon and ordered a Red Zune 2nd Gen 80GB for my birthday  on Thursday.  My B'day isn't until next week, but it arrived overnight!  I was having a bad day--suffering from a fall in the bathroom and I managed to break every toe on my left foot.  Well, he really wanted to cheer me up so gave me my Zune early.

I LOVE IT!  The software is so much easier to use than ITunes--I love being able to sync all of the music in my collection manually (we've got almost 500 GB of music, so just syncing isn't practical).  I managed in one day to put 64 GB of music on it.

Anyway, I'm happy to be here--I've got a lot to learn about my Zune, but I'm amazed how easy it's been so far!  Microsoft finally did something right--I can almost forgive them for Vista!

A little about me--I live in Houston, Texas, in my late 40s and my musical tastes run the gamut from Classic Rock, Prog Rock, Indie/Alternative Rock, Pop and I like classical music as well.  I don't care much for the current Top 20 music and rap/hip hop.  These kids just don't know music--why in my day.....yada yada yada:-)  Right now I'm really into Marillion, The Flower Kings, Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Symphony X, and other current prog rock favorites.  Are there others like me out there?  Would love to talk music!

Regards,

Grace

I listen to mostly prog-rock as well. New prog like Fish-era Marillion, Riverside, Flower Kings, Spock's Beard, IQ, etc.plus the old standards like Yes, Genesis, Focus, Jethro Tull, and so on.  I'm lucky enough to have a 2 day prog festival 20 miles from my house every labor day weekend so i've seen some great bands I never would have otherwise heard of. I've got about 1200 CD's so don't have much use for the radio - including XM.
