Make Zune play everything, BUT these
I'm hoping there is an easy solution to this, maybe I am just missing something somewhere.

Like most people here probably I have several thousand MP3 files in my library, and occasionaly don't care what I listen to or just want to "shuffle" everything. The problem with this is I also have several dozen Audio Books, Podcasts, Musicals, and spoken word comedy MP3s in my library.

What I would like to do is tell my device or my software to play everything, BUT these items. It's a bit of a bummer to be listening to music and suddenly hearing Chapter 13 of The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkein, and although I occasionaly enjoy musicals, it also can throw things off to suddenly pick up in the middle of a scene, as some recording have the spoken word dialogue along with the 'music' or depending on the musical even a song.

I edited all my Audiobooks so they would have a "podcast" Genre tag and putn them in my podcast folder, but they are still showing up in a random shuffle of all my music.

I could put together a massive playlist of everything BUT these items, but since my library changes quite often it's not really realistic.

What would be ideal (to me it seems) is add another category blade for "preformance" (Audio Books, Spoken Word, Musicals) like was done for Podcasts, and have those ignored in the "music" blade.

Actually.... I figured it out myself, some of the files were MP3, some were .WMA, the .WMAs were still showing up in the "music" category.

So what exactly did you change?

I'm in the process of converting my wma files to mp3s

For some reason (not sure if it's intended) but wma files in the podcast directory are still showing up as "music", but the mp3s are not
