Some of my artists albums are not grouped as albums

For the most part, whenever I rip a CD I use Windows Media Player.  I've ripped several CD's over the years and they're now all a part of my Zune collection (80GB second generation Zune, running 3.0).  However, one thing which I've never understood since getting my Zune, is that some of my artists music is not all collected in albums.  For example, one of the artists I've got, I have maybe 8 albums of his on my Windows Media Player area.  However, when I look at it from my Zune, its got only 7 albums, but all of the songs from the 8th albums appear to me to be listed under the artist's name as individual songs.

What's that about?  How did that happen?  And how do I get them all back together under the album that they should be in?  I certainly don't want to delete this album from my machine, just to make the Zune happy about listing it as an album as it should be listed.

What does the metadata say when you right-click on one of these "phantom" songs (under edit)?

None of these phantom songs appear in the Zune software.  They only appear on my Zune, so I don't know how I would right-click on them.

He wanted you to check the metadata in your collection (Zune software) to make sure Album Artist & (Song/Track) Artist are set correctly... as well as the Album name.

Anyway, if everything is OK in your collection, read my reply here to fix device: http://forums.zune.net/362715/ShowPost.aspx

Also, on your Zune device you have the option of viewing only Album Artist (like Zune software, less cluttered), or both Album Artists & Song Artists... toggle it on the device via 'settings... music.'  Just so you understand why the Artist view may not 'match'.
