I love my 30GB Zune more the Ipod.

Thing is, I don't love my 30GB Zune when it freezes up when, I shuffle though songs, try to play the games, or when a song is playing it stops or freezes up.

Then I have to wait....

Do the restart trick, two or three times, and wait some more.

Is there anyway that can be fixed? Or..

Can I send my to the factory to be fixed, or get a new one?

Also. Why did they stop making 30GB Zune's?

I don't even see it on the website anymore.

I also have a beautiful white 30GB that I recently updated to  3.0 and it recently started to freeze. My Zune never did this before. As a matter of fact it froze about 15 minutes ago and I can't turn it on nor the software recognizes the device when I tried to charge it with my PC. Anyone out there that can give us any advise? I really like my Zune but this is starting to bother me. First, I can not download videos that I purchased in Marketplace and now my device is turning off and won't turn on. I'm thinking of getting the IPod Touch if this situation continues. I bought this product to enjoy it not to spend my nights in this forum trying to find help for different issues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  have you guys reset your zunes and redownloaded all the songs to it?  could be a corrupt file somewhere, also how is the battery?  does it charge ok?  how long do you leave it to charge?

Freezing is definitely a problem.  Typically, what I've heard works is to complete reset your Zune.  Like, remove all the songs and what not and then put everything back on it.  I don't know for sure if it'll work, but it probably wouldn't hurt to try.

Ive done it all friends. Now I'm just getting songs that don't work now, and some songs that cant even put back on my zune.

Does anybody know a link or a e-mail where i can just talk to someone that can help.

I was looking where can I send a email but that Microsoft link is confusing.

Apparently different backgrounds can cause the device to hang.   While waiting for an update from Microsoft, the suggestion of resetting to the default background should help.

If you are having issues with freezing and you want to reset it, you dont have to worry about losing your files. All you do is press UP and the BACK button at the same time and that should reboot it. I had the freezing issue once and that worked for me.

hello all, does the freezing issue only happen with the 3ogb?  i just purchased a new 120gb and is there something i should be looking out for?  i mean, i havent had any issues yet... thx.

Im having the same problems. My Zune only freezes up on certain songs. So im guessing all of us who have the original 30gig Zunes are getting the shaft right now.

fix 1:  switch back to the default zune background
fix 2:  install games (even if you already have them.)

Yeah I would definitely suggest erasing all content off your zune and resyncing to see if that fixes your problem. Places you can contact for help:
