OK, I was at work and trying to do the same thing. I found out (by calling Adobe Support) after an hour or so of tinkering that if you type MSConfig in run in the start menu, and then disable Zune from the start ups, you won't have to uninstall or re-install anything. The only drawback, is that if you want to use Illustrator, you have to keep Zune removed from the start-ups in MSconfig. The moment you start zune, there is some process that does not show up in the task manager that you cannot kill that will give you all those Illustrator errors and you will have to restart your computer (remember, with Zune unchecked in the start-up) to get back to square one. I will continue to use iTunes until Microsoft fixes this since I HAVE to use Illustrator at my job, YOU HEAR THAT BILL GATES?
I tried reinstalling Illustrator and it did nothing for me so I know there are people out there where the reinstall will not work. Ralph, at Adobe, said he was going to escalate this within Adobe and hopefully get them to work with Microsoft and fix this.
So, no need to go removing software just yet, just use your other music playing programs on your computer until Microsoft can get a patch to fix this.
