This changes a lot, but as of now it'd have to be the Depreciation Guild, whose album is free on their site.  For some reason the software doesn't add it to my music.  Whomever said that they liked Film School should check them out for sure, otherwise if you're into shoegaze / 8-bit sounds look into them.

Hm, Queen City Station from Buffalo, NY. They aren't even signed yet.

Or The Human Abstract as far as indie metal bands go.

My favorite indie artist would have to be Cage though. And that is saying a lot considering I never listen to rap or hip hop.
