Zune encountered a critical error

okay well, my computer died the other day. Do I got it fixed... I had to redownload everything (including the zune software) and before the redownload my problem was that my computer could not "find" my Zune once I plugged it in. NOW my new problem is whenever I open the newly installed Zune software I get to the "Welcome To Zune" page (the very first page that opens up once the software is downloaded, it could let you customize your settings immedietly or go straight to your collection) but whenever I open the software a message pops up saying "Zune encountered a critical error and needs to close. For instructions on correction this error, open the URL below in a web browser."

I opened the URL and it gave the usual, "this article applies to you if you have an error message that says any of these:....."

but none of those "symptoms" applied to my problem. So could anybody reply to this and tell me how to fix this?

When you re-downloaded everything, did that include all of the Windows operating system (required) updates?
