10 Songs that Define Classic Rock

What 10 songs would you pick to define classic rock? Not necessarily your favorite songs, but songs that you think should be listed in the dictionary definition. My list would look something like this:

1. Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin

2. Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who

3. Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

4. Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones

5. Like a Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan

6. Purple Haze - The Jimi Hendrix Experience

7. Layla - Derek and the Dominos

8. Don't Fear the Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

9. More Than a Feeling - Boston

10. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

First let me say, well done sir!. My ten are as follows

1. I want to hold your hand- The Beatles: start of the British Invasion

2.All Along the Watchtower- Jimi Hendrix: Who doesn't get off on Jimi rockn that one?

3.Bubba O'Riley- The Who: A Rock Anthem

4.Satisfaction- The Rolling Stones: A Signature song

5.Stairway to Heaven- Led Zep: Great Song nuff said

6.Layla-Derek and the Dominos: Clapton&Allman at their best

7.Jailhouse Rock-Elvis: Yep that is what  Rock n' Roll is about

8.I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For-U2- Great track from a great Album

9.Like A Rolling Stone-Bob Dylan: Bob can write a song

10.Smoke On the Water-Deep Purple: My mom hates the song now, I killed it for her, plyed it way too much 

This is my list, not in order.

Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin- Possibly the greatest song ever

Purple Haze by the Jimi Hendrix Experience- Jimi had to be included

Dream On by Aerosmith- No list is complete without Aerosmith

Blackbird by the Beatles- Amazing song.

Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard- This is a good song

Thunderstruck by ACDC- I just love this song

Open Arms by Journey- There has to be an '80s power ballad on this list

Won't Get Fooled Again by the Who- Even though it is eight and a half minutes, you aren't bored for a second like other long songs.

The Spirit of Radio by Rush- I fell in love with this song a while ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

Jump by Van Halen- Awesome
