Customize backround on zune software as well as whole website page.
Just thought it would be nice if we could upload pics and have them put as the whole backround on the Zune software an even on the website.  Just to help lighten things up since honestly I find the sites mostly gray pages sort of dull. And the zune software standard backrounds are too cliche as well.

I think the Zune moderators are working on that. It would be nice to change the background, because, yes, gray is very boring.

That will just make it take even loger to load up the software and every page on the site.

Bad  idea.

Re: Customize backround on zune software as well as whole website page.
The colours and patterns used by the Zune Team on the website and in the application are well-designed and serve their purpose well. They create a unified aesthetic and maintain an exceptionally clean interface. While it's fine to let people add to the experience in certain ways, giving people over control of things that will ultimately degrade the cleanliness they worked so hard on will harm the brand, in my opinion.

It's fine to let users customise but not at the detriment of the overall worth of what Zune is building up for themselves. Users might find the background images delightful, but unconsciously they may come to find their experience with the website and software "uglified" or unpleasant due to the unnecessary addition of personal flair, colours, and graphics — in effect ruining their own experience with the Zune brand, by their own doing.
