Privacy settings may be set to block the display of your play information. You can check your settings by clicking settings, account, privacy settings.

The location could be set to a country that does not currently support this feature. You can see what country your computer is set to under Regional and Language Options in the control panel, Location tab, Current Location.

You must have logged into your Zune account at least once on the computer.

For device plays to report you must have a permanent relationship between the device and PC and have your device linked to your Zune tag. This can be set under settings, device, name your device.

There is a delay in between the time your usage is reported and when it is displayed in the player.

If you uploaded several plays at the same time, such as from the device or after being disconnected from the internet for a while, only some of the plays will display since it only shows 24 recent plays.

If plays are being displayed on your recently played list but not counted towards your total plays or artist plays, you could have reported suspicious activity that was deemed as fraudulent.

Some generic names like track01 are not displayed as the information would not be useful.

Streaming sample clips from the marketplace will not report as plays.

Very short songs will not be reported as plays.

Plays no longer display or count towards your total or artist plays after 28 days.

Podcasts and videos will not be displayed.
