re: Doris Day
Yup, I like her as an actress and singer. Actually, she was pretty sexy in a cute-next-door-girl kind of way. I placed her songs under "50s Pop" (a category I made up).

You can make your own categories (genres) to satisfy what you feel best suits your needs. Take Elvis Presley, for example. Microsoft/Zune has him listed as Rock, but let's face it... Elvis AIN'T ROCK the way we think of rock. So, I labled Elvis' music according to the category his music fits. For example, the early stuff I placed in 50s Rock or 60s Pop, and his later stuff was placed under 70s Country. Why country?? Well, he changed from the Rock-n-Roll style to some country/pop-hybrid Vegas thing. For somebody like Jimmy Buffett, I labled him as Trop Rock, and all the hybrid bands/songs that follow the reggae/caribbean/country/pop/rock/whatever-blended-sound all get placed under Trop Rock (which includes A1A, Brent Burns, Tsunami Wave Riders, Jim Morris, Eric Stone, CW Colt, Tropical Soul, etc.).

Oh, sorry... got carried away for a moment... back to Doris Day... I don't know if she recorded any acid rock albums in the late 60s, disco albums in the 70s or any techno stuff in the 80s (like Tom Jones) so I placed her under 50s Pop because, in my opinion, that was her heyday for being a recording artist. I like her voice, and she is a true singer that should be placed in the upper levels of talent and appreciated by today's generation.

I have an 80 gig Zune and an 80 gig iPod, and both are almost full...
