Next steps: A functional specification!

Okay, I'm back from vacation and ready to go!

The next step in developing this game is for me to write a functional spec and create some "wireframes" - rough pictures of what the game would look like. I'm going to aim to have that done by this Friday. If anyone out there has a desire to write any part of this document with me, let me know - otherwise, I'll write it, post it, and the community can review it.

Hi Jessica,

"this Friday" came and went :)

Do you have anything for us to look at?

Thanks

Jamie

re: Next steps: A functional specification!

I do...I have someone doing "wire frames" for me, and I wanted to put both things out at the same time. So I was kind of waiting for him to be done. :-) But since he is a volunteer, I don't really want to impose a deadline.

Give me another day, then I'll just post the spec if I don't have anything else. :-)

What are "wireframes"?
I'm eagerly looking forward to the new feature. Keep up the great work.

"Wireframes" are basically mock-ups of what each page would look like.

re: Next steps: A functional specification!

I'm guessing this got put on the back-burner in the midst of the tons of feature additions in the 2.5 firmware/software upgrade?

Jessica, if you still need help on that next step, I'm good at wireframes and planning layouts (it's my job in the real-world), and I should have some extra time to kill over the summer. Send me a message over the social (might as well use the features, right?) if you need an extra set of hands for this....

Now that so many requested features are in (auto-playlists and ID3 tag editing, finally!), I'd really like to see this happen.

No, I had to put it on hold for a bit. I apologize; I'll post the functional specification tomorrow, really!
