re: Re: re: Zune HD firmware 4.3!

I changed the Format (On Windows 7, under Region and Language dialog, Formats tab), from English (United States) to English (Canada), and the update showed up.  Afterwards I changed it back to English (US) - should only need to keep that setting long enough to see/apply the update.

Where do you change Region? On the computer or the Zune software or the Zune HD? I don't see a setting to change region on the Zune software nor the device. Help!!!!  Thanks!

Still no wi-fi for Verizon FIOS customers. Come on Microsoft, you really need to to fix the wireless on this thing.

You need to do it in Windows.  Check in the Control Panel, under "Clock, Language and Region" in Win7.  In WinXP, it may be labeled Regional Settings.  The dialog has several tabs, look for Formats.

I had a heck of a time getting wireless to work until I told my router to use open for the key exchange instead of auto

re: Zune HD firmware 4.3!

the method that worked for me was holding the midia and power keys for 15 seconds. keep holding it after the screen turns black untill you see a screen that tells you to connect to the computer.

i tried changing my region to canada through the control pannel (i have windows 7), and it allowed me to get the update, but then when it was finished, there was no marketplace tab at the main menu screen!!!!!!!!

that method appears to be dangerous, but then i did the midia/power key method (after changing my region back to US), then it said it was updating to 4.3 AGAIN. this time, though, everything looks like its working perfectly. so this seems to be everyone's best bet. this, or just reformatting everything.

There was no marketplace tab because marketplace isn't available in Canada, you could've just changed your region settings back after the update...
