re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
i'm running windows 7(x32) RTM build 7264 and i haven't had any problems posted here so far. my problem is reverse syncing. at first i copied 3 albums to my collection perfectly and was gonna do the rest while i go to bed. i have about 5500 songs and none of the songs are purchased from the marketplace and none of them are drm protected. i copied about 2000 pictures to my collection perfectly and about 64 videos to my collection perfectly too. then, when started on the music it went till about 14% and then stopped syncing, the software didn't mess up, it just acted like it was done syncing and if i try to re-sync again it copies about 200 more songs over then stop again. i don't know why its doing that. i've restarted the program multiple times and it still isn't working right. now if i try to copy even just one album to my collection it tries to copy over all of them and still stops after about 200 songs. other than that the zune software works perfectly. i haven't had any problems with windows 7 period.

anyone know a fix for this?

It would be most helpful if you could actually tell us what the problem is.

re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
Zune works perfectly fine on my Win 7 machine. I have just one tiiiiny issue: When you hover over the Zune software in your Win 7 Taskbar, you see the media control options like Prev - Play/Pause - Next (similar to the ones you get when you're using WMP). Those buttons don't seem to be working for me and I do not know if the problem is on my side or if its something that hasn't been implemented yet.

Thanks, and go Zune!!

re: Windows 7 Final and Zune

Well this is a kick in the teeth.

Plug Zune into Beta it not only installs a driver and recognises it, but also directs you to download software.

Plug Zune into RC it not only installs a driver and recognises it, but also directs you to download software.

Plug Zune into Windows 7 Final on release day it fails to find drivers, says there's none on Windows update, and the Software fails to sync more than  10 tracks without the player crashing?

How on earth did this all go wrong?

Having allowed 4.0 to swiftly reinstall my device firmware I'm now stuck with nothing syncing and a brand new O/S that suddenly fails to identify a Zune despite the Beta and RC doing so brilliantly!

Help?

re: Windows 7 Final and Zune

I got Win7 Final today. Installed on the same drive I was running RC on. When I installed Zune 4 and connected the Zune HD I got a message saying that the Zune was already registered on 3 computers and therefore I would not be able to download on this one. Two of those three ARE this computer - one setup with Vista and one when I was running the RC. Now that I have full Win7 I have partial funtionality.

How do I get the Zune HD and Zune software to understand that the Zune is not setup on 3 computers?

re: Windows 7 Final and Zune

I installed windows 7 last night and sure enough when i plug my zune in it fails to load the drivers and gives me error code 31.   Then when I go to manually install the drivers it still fails to load them.  How is it even remotely possible that this could happen.  The one thing above all else i would expect to work with windows 7 doesn't.

If anyone knows a fix it would be greatly appreciated

re: Windows 7 and Zune
Hey, everyone. I have an old 30GB Zune. I had trouble getting it syncing when I moved to Vista 64, but solved the problem after hard reset and some driver installation, and now that I upped to Windows 7, the computer refuses to recognize the Zune. The PC just keeps making the plug-and-play sound over and over again and says the driver failed to load. I re-installed the software, and I ran it as admin, and still nothing. I even tried to manually install the driver. Nothing. I really don't want to hard reset the Zune as that didn't solve my problem last time. Any ideas?
