That was definetely a speed metal post.

I agree that subgenres are there for a reason, to help describe music, but that guy is just trying to be anal about it and correct everyone about every band. What he dosen't realize is that subgenres aren't all black and white and there's a lot of grey area in the middle and you can't always be right about it all the time. Sometimes it's just a persons opinion. Some people call Slayer speed metal and others say thrash. Some say Sepultera is thrash others death. Does it matter? Do you realize how vague some of those definitions were? And you didn't even talk about heavy metal or NWOBHM or whatever it's called now, artican.

hell yeah man! going to see the faceless in like 2 weeks

 

Id say for me

Black Dahlia Murder, Faceless, here Comes The Kraken, Suicide Silence (the cleansing mostly), Dimmu Borgir, behemoth, been loving whitechapel, and a local band called 7 horns 7 eyes <--- check them out
