re: Zune HD...It needs bluetooth
Until there is a "ZUNE PHONE" there needs to be a viable wireless option that allows for instant switching between devices. Every time I am listening to my Zune 30 whether it be In my car, on the train or in my office etc.,  I get a call on my cell. I have to press pause on my podcast, rip off my headphones, reach into my pocket and then click the "answer call" button.... and then wish I bought an Iphone or Sony Walkman because (digital music (raw not compressed) is encoded into 16 bit words, at a 44.1KHz rate, or approx. 700Kbps). Why can't I choose to listen to music at the quality I desire, and make the choice to listen at super high quality, wired, or wireless at mediocre quality. At the very least if the Zune HD had bluetooth I could actually enjoy my Zune while trying to be productive... and for that matter not loosing another pair of wired headphones due to it getting caught in someones nose-ring.

re: Zune HD...It needs bluetooth
I can't honestly speak on how the bitrates or hertz of bluetooth audio work, but I can say that I have a samsung p2 which I use with moto s9 bluetooth headphones and not only does it work well but it's the best sounding music I've ever heard through headphones. It has never skipped during a song and this is from normal usage of about 15ft away from the mp3 player. Another great feature of the bluetooth headphones is when it receives a call from my cell phone it automatically pauses the mp3 player when I press the answer key on the headphones, as soon as the call is ended the music is resumed. The p2 also allows you to place calls via the mp3 player but I see no use for that. As an owner of the original 30gb zune I always hoped the next gen would have bluetooth so this would be a big letdown if the zune hd goes without it. This leaves me with the next logical option which is the p3.

That Samsung makes some great-looking and great-sounding BT headphones. I myself have the S9-HD.

What better combination than that: Zune HD and S9-HD!

I'm a PC and Zune HD was my idea!

re: Zune HD...It needs bluetooth
No doubt, I have the Samsung messenger and use my bluetooth stereo headphone on it all the time. It sounds great and does not leave me wondering if I missed a call. If you have never used a pair of high end BT headphones then don't judge it until you have tried it. I was hoping that MS would develop a BT dongle for the 1st gen Zunes but since that is not going to happen I was really hoping it would show up in the HD line.

Wow, I never expected this topic to grow this much, looks like there's a lot of people who want bluetooth besides me. On a side note WTF kind of job do you have that makes you lose your headphones in peoples nose rings???? O.o

Remember, folks, product feature requests should go into the wishlist: device features forum - it's too late for the current Zune HD.

re: Zune HD...It needs bluetooth

I would buy a Zune HD if it had Bluetooth A2DP.  I'm using the Backbeat 906 set with my G1 phone, and sound quality is more than merely satisfactory.  Using an adaptor with a Zune leaves me with this thing velcroed to the Zune or a piggyback carrying case.

Not many players bother with Bluetooth.  Most phones have the hardware, so it gets tossed in.  The G1 had to wait for firmware 1.5 to get A2DP enabled.  I understand the iPhone has the hardware but not software support.

Really, time for some players to get with it.  Zune should have done this.

Than I guess we need a MODERATOR to move this topic to that forum then.

This feature request needs to be as large as the "Bring Back the EQ" movement in order for the Zune team to listen and implement.

It is called being a commuter in NYC - and jam packed trains. I guess listening to the Zune for you is NOT a contact sport.

I am going to hold off on buying the Zune HD untill there is a viable bluetooth option, e.g. an adapter that supports AVCRP. Untill then I will hold on to my trusty Zune30 and either Mod it or move on.

Oh, I somehow think they know already.  But this one is not so easy as the EQ...which itself wasn't easy (had to substantially upgrade the processor in the zunes to do it.)  Bluetooth will potentially add size, cost, and consume battery.  Not everyone wants it...and won't want those penalties if they don't have an option.  It may have to start out as an external accessory, for example, to prove it's worth.
