Why do you listen to "Christian" Music?

the reason i listen to christian music, umm thats a hard one for me i reciently got saved 10-14-08 to be exact i would listen to certain christian songs and i would feel like there was something they were singing about i wanted, the song " made to love " would make me choke up when he sang the words "you were here before me you were waiting on me and you said you would keep me NEVER WOULD YOU LEAVE ME" I could't imagin love like that. to make a very long story short i was listening to skillet's song "wispers in the dark" and i could'nt understand a few words in the song so i looked it up on the net and it was there i realized the words he was singing were like they were being sung by god it was a message i needed to hear. also i bought a new motorcycle helmet made by icon it was colorfull and graphic when i got home i realized the theme of the helmet was "the seventh seal" it also has bible scripture writen on it it reads "and in those days men shall seek death and shal not find it and shall desire to die and death shall flee from them" i realized i wanted to be saved, everything came together i called a pastor i knew and gave my life to jesus. now i mostly listen to christain music i will not listen to any music that brings me down or gives me depressing thoughts i am 36 years old i dont want to waste my new life on garbage. it's true when people say "GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT". what comes into your heart and mind will come out it's your choice what you put into it. 

First of all why not?

Christian music, for me, can often be a huge encouragement.  It is simply a reminder of how great God is...
Not that non-Christian music is bad, just if you continuously listen to positive music, you can't help but remain positive in life if you constantly flood your mind with positive music, movies, games etc...

It's more of a mindset...

What you listen to, whether you realize it or admit it, slowly becomes your thought process and lifestyle.

I honestly listen to only Christian music. When I say Christian I don't mean stuff that says Jesus every 2 seconds. I like honest music dedicated to God from honest hearts who worship and follow God. I hate when artists make excuses for why they don't mention God. I mean if your music isn't about Christ, it's not Christian music. But Christian music keeps my heart and mind focused on God. I don't think non-Christian music is bad, it's just that I personally have to turn everything back to Jesus. If I can't I have a serious breakdown of the music and get really frustrated. So yeah, that's why I listen.

I believe that even how heartless a person is/was.. if he heard  christian music and listen to it even just for a minute.. I believe, that song will touch his heart.. he will be blessed by that song and his dark life will turn into a life that's full of blessings , happiness and contentment.  Song maybe just a "song" for somebody, but still, christian song , as long as you listen to it carefully and with full of understanding and by HEART you will understand how big the love of LORD for us.. Because there's no impossible with GOD..  Based on my experienced, yah.. it can changed everything in one persons life..  And I salute you guys who are also love christian songs..
