re: Have you gone digital or are you still a CD buying person?
For me it depends, if it's a band I love I'll get the cd but if it's a band I like I'll buy it from Zune or Itunes.

While I prefer to buy cd's still and then rip them, I tend to try to only buy CD's at concerts/shows/festivals as that's about the only time the artist makes any sort of money out of the sale. If it's an album I really have been looking forward to, I will cave and go to a local cd store and purchase it. If it's something rather rare or don't want to wait for a special order cd to arrive, I'll just find a friend with the album and rip it from them.

I'm debating the whole Zune Pass thing, or another paid D/L service...but it's difficult to find one with a good amount of artists that I like (not much in the way of Goregrind/Death in most of those services).

My first choice would by vinyl but lately I've only been buying cheap ones. I buy the CD if it's something I think it's worth holding on to. The rest I get digitally.

If it's one of my favorite bands, I'll buy the CD. Everything else I acquire digitally.

I still buy CDs.  Although given the size of my collection I should rethink that, lol.

I only buy CDs when there's something I can't get with digital, like an added DVD. Maybe once every 6 months, and I think that distinction is fading too. Just recently got my Zune Pass going again, hello Rod Stewart and Slipknot!

re: Have you gone digital or are you still a CD buying person?
I just returned from Afghanistan and while I was there I bought two CD (Usher "Here I Stand" and M.O.P "Foundation"), I had to buy CDs because the internet in Afghanistan is horrible.  Mostly I go digital. before these last two CDs I hadn't bought a CD in about 4 years.  That is the way that music is going, everything is digital, the internet is slowly but surely killing hardware media (CDs, DVDs, Tapes, Records).
