But I don't believe that they would both work simultaneously.

Oh they definitely wouldn't work together.

That's why I said I think he was mixing 2 things together.

re: How To Fix a Wet Zune

Riding a Motorcycle, got caught in a rain storm... did I say storm, I meant bucket dump... after 10 minutes, found a gas station to pullover in, pulled the zune 30 gig out of my pocket, that had quite working well.. about 10 minutes ago, dumped the water out of both the earphone plug, and the dataport. Not having any saddle bags at the time, put the soaked electronic device back in to the soaked pocket, and road home..  Another hour ride, all of it in the rain...  Thought the poor little zune was a gonner.

I got home, dumped more water out of it, and just to see, I put my mouth on the earphone hole, and blew... seeing more water come out of the bottom, I then knew that there was a way for air flow to move through it. I set the zune upright on an airconditioner vent, and let it sit there all night. the next morning plugged it in, and it worked just fine. That was over 2 years ago, and she's still ticking along without any side effects from it's bath... I Hope that I don't have to find out how durable my new HD 32 is... doesn't look as tough though... LOL

That's quite a story, amazing what Zunes can survive.  Haha that would have gone a lot better on my other post: How Tough Is Your Zune?
