Oh I also happen to want a couple more artits out there i got most but i think im missing some if any would say some no prob, Don't worry I consider Calle 13 reggaeton still. Its what help his career despite him changing his genre. Atrevete-te-te is still hardly cumbia IMO.
how can you call Calle 13 reggaeton??
not even Don Omar and W&Y sound like the generic, typical reggeaton beat anymore.
just because they're from Puerto Rico does not make them reggaeton artists.
I think your generalizing the genre to the simple kick, hat, drum beat. Which is very incorrect in terms of classifying the reggaeton genre. Reggaeton quote from Daddy Yankee "es un movimiento que la gente latina urbana estan escuchando en este tiempo..." Which he meant that the music is an urban matierial from artist who grew up making Reggaeton and Spanish Hip-Hop. If you listened to Vico C, Big Boy, or even El General they are all forms of Reggaeton. Again your putting the genre into simple kick, hat, drum beat which btw is a common mistake for average listeners or minor listeners. I'm only here to correct you and promote this wonderful music.
BTW-Why even bring up Puerto Rican Reggaeton artist?????? Thats just putting words in my mouth, we all know Reggaeton Started in Panama pana.
