re: Deleting friends in zune but not xbox live?

This thread is well over a year old but the problem still exists!  Here's my two cents...

I really like the connection between GamerTag and ZuneTag, but it can be a hassle sometimes when information from one service interferes with the other.

Example: When using Mixview with my ZuneCard the two friends that are chosen are almost always (95% of the time) XBox Live friends who do not use Zune.  Mixview seems to pull the two most recently active friends without checking if that activity was Zune activity or XBox activity, and my XBox friends tend to be more active.

Another Example: One of my XBox Live / Zune friends has a Silver XBox live account but hasn't signed into XBox Live in a very, very long time.  I can tell when she's using her Zune Software beacuse she'll show up at the top of my XBox.com friend's list as "Last seen one minute ago playing XBox.com".  I would rather see a friend who really is using their XBox on the top of my XBox Live friends list.

It's obvious that each WindowsLiveID must carry some kinds of active/inactive property associated with Zune and a similar property associated with XBox Live because each service has different End User Licence Agreement.  The integrated friends list is way cool when a friend uses both services, but it would be great if each service filtered the friends list by checking to see if that service has been activated before displaying the friends list or chosing friends for Mixview, etc.

re: Deleting friends in zune but not xbox live?
I wish they could split the zune and xobx live friends. I dont have any room to add zune friends. Would it be possible for the zune members to not take up room like some of the zune members on here. I cant only remember that ryu, sonia, and cliffy b didnt take up room when you added them. I think some of the zune team doenst take up room also

re: Deleting friends in zune but not xbox live?
I am an Xbox 360 user and I definitely like having the shared friend's list but I agree with the whole toggle concept so that we can switch between the groups of friends who either have just Zune, just Xbox 360, have both, or everyone.  I wish that I could have more than 100 friends though.  My friends list on my Xbox 360 is quite extensive to start with anyway because I have my Windows messenger connected to it and my facebook contacts are synced into that so I have around 400 people on my Xbox 360 friends list.

On an unrelated note, I wish people viewing my Xbox profile would have my Zune social info on there too - including badges and recent music and everything - that would be pretty cool. (Could make more people in my friend list buy Zunes.)

These are great ideas by the way, an incentive to get a Zune and more sharing through the Xbox 360.  Who knows with the new Xbox 360-Zune integration coming out soon, maybe they will have something like this.

Right now though we just have to use the recent activity filter to know which friends have and use Zune.
