NOT happy about the team removing this.  I'm guessing because it isn't used that much by everyone else but I used it almost weekly.  I don't see how this couldn't be re-added by a quick firmware upgrade but if zune team would slide me some of their code, i'd be glad to add it myself ;)  I guess we'll have to be that 'vocal minority' that everybody always talks about..

Yes, some people thought this feature was wasted or under-utilized but it's because on a 1 in 100 or so people had Zunes at the time! I ride the train every day to work and always have my wireless on and check for fellow Zuners. I encounter 1 or 2 a week through the wireless, usually in passing through the station. However on more than one occasion, I've riden with at least 1 fellow Zuner who has sent me pictures (zune30 to zune80) and received and sent rare remixes of songs by artists the other person was listening to - they not only appreciate it, but its neat! Now with the HD it's going to the cloud. Yeah I get it, but the social just evaporated, just when FINALLY every day since launch day people ask me about my ZuneHD! I've already gotten 3 people to go buy em - but no social?? we can't play games with each other or non-HD people? Bring it back!! Add it as an option to send directly or to the cloud. Let us detect other Zunes (not just HD's) around us, please!

are you *** serious?! They got rid of it, OMFG zune what are you thinking, first you get rid of EQ, 5 star ratings, and now zune to zune sharing.
*smh* I mean damn a least give us 64 gb, you brought back the EQ, but please bring back zune-to-zune sharing!

Don't forget the primary principle of the Zune: sharing.

How can Zune even explain away removing this distinguishing feature?

Please get your act together and return device-device sharing (and multiplayer)

This is a 1 in a million kinda thing though...
I thought the feature was cool in theory 'til I used it, and the novelty wore off. It's just "cool"... but aren't we about practicality?

For all the people signing, do you really use that feature? I mean reaaaally?



I dont think the team should waste any resources or manpower on this. Bring on Netflix for Zune!

Zune team bring it back!   I share all the time with co-workers with my Zune 120 and now this sucks.

I had to find out the hard way that i could no longer share songs with my other Zunes. Ahhhhhhh! You have no idea how disappointed i was. I think the file sharing was one of the definition of the Zune.

I vote for its return. Otherwise, ti is just a smaller Ipod-touch. ( and 5 star ratings!!!)
