Do you agree? I think with the amount of bluetooth objects coming out or already out this should be a must include technology for the Zune HD. Bluetooth headphones for wireless listening, car radio's that are bluetooth enabled for wireless sync to your car audio system, home stereo, PS3 etc etc etc.

As another member has pointed out, Bluetooth is a weak technology for high fidelity audio transmission. Car stereos are actually moving away from Bluetooth for audio, saving it only for phone hands free. Home stereos are moving to wifi, and you'll see the first vehicles with wifi audio support hitting dealers later this year.

Cheers, Dave.

put on your headphones, slip your zune under your shirt and into your pocket. BAM! you've just saved yourself 70 bucks. The wireless craze is a ripoff. I've used tons of wireless keyboards, mice, and headsets, and despite the much higher price, the wireless versions were inferior to their wired counterparts.
I agree...Bluetooth is overrated option, good only for mobile phones to earpcs. I would rather Zune spend the time and money on other options than a Bluetooth option. At least with wired headphones when you are working out if one falls out u know it...I'd hate loose ONE of my ear pcs..that would sux.

Zune is AWESOME!!...since Nov 2006 Black30GB and Pink30GB (my wifes'!!!)

How have I saved myself  70 bucks? By buying wired headphones over wireless? Not really, a decent set of bluetooth headphones can be had for 30 or 40 bucks, same for a wired set. And I've used a wireless laser mouse for the last couple years and never had a problem and again not much if any price increase over a wired model.

You buy bluetooth headphones not two separate earpieces, not even sure that would work.

the data rate to support a mouse is not quite what you need to support decent audio... you can't compare the two.  So, try BT headphones... they may be fine or they may not.  The data rate is poor compared to wired, but only you can decide if it is 'good enough.'

You misunderstand me, of course it would help if I remembered to use the quote button. I wasn't comparing bluetooth audio to a wireless mouse, I was countering the argument that wired versions of computer mice were always superior to wireless ones.

And if thats true, then perfect. If company's start making wifi headphones then I'll be perfectly happy. I don't have any kind of fanboyism for bluetooth, I just want a wireless audio option.

Gotcha.... anyway, we probably all agree wireless headphones would be nice.  It's just that a BT solution is not going to be good enough to satisfy everyone.

Guess we should just leave it to MS to decide whether or not to make everyone happy :)

Perhaps, but a good and civil debate about new features and/or how to implement them is a good thing for forum discussions.
