re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
There are no error codes, device manager reports that the device is working properly, and when I try to automatically update the driver it says that I already have the best driver. I'm really not sure if I'm looking in the right spot in device manager, is the video/graphics card listed under "Display Adapters"?, if not I don't see it listed.

Thanks for the help.

re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
I had trouble with the Zune software recognizing my Zune after the Windows 7 install. The "run as administrator" advice did the trick. It would have been nice if they posted that info on the support page discussing this topic: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/944909 I went through 11 steps before I gave up and found the answer here.

re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
Hi there... i recently installed win 7 on my new pc, downloaded/installed the zune software, connected my device, and i can see that the device is being recognized by both the Zune app and the OS, but i can't get my music synched back to the computer... "my collection" folder in the zune app shows nothing, but my zune is full of music, the rights have expired and wouldn't let me update the rights (I'm a zune pass subscriber)... any tips on what might be happening? (tried the "run as administrator" and synched my device again but didn't work) Thanks!!

I disabled my third party firewall and ran windows firewall and it synced up. Your firewall might be preventing total connection. I would recommend trying this. Windows 7 is awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

You might try reverse syncing the content from your device to your new computer, or restore it directly from the marketplace. Connect your device and then click the device icon. Now go the music view and drag and drop any albums, songs, or artists to the computer icon in the lower left corner (you can also right-click and choose "copy to collection"). You can add all of the content from your device to your computer in this way.

Since you are on Zune pass, another way to restore your collection is to sign into Marketplace, then go to settings > account > subscription history > then restore all of the content.

Either way it should get the all of the content on your new computer and renew the licenses on your device.

Hey Skip, how you doing bro? Hope all is well. I'm having a very strange issue right now. I have about 29 purchased DRM songs from the marketplace in which 15 or so will not play at all. The 15 that will not play are not available in the marketplace anymore which I think might be the issue. I get the error "An unexpected error occured when connecting to Zune Marketplace." Error Code: C00D12EB. One thing, these files were working fine when I was running Windows Vista. But I cannot confirm if this was a problem due to the fact the music could have still been in the marketplace at the time I was using Windows Vista.

Doing well man, thanks!

That is a separate issue from Win7, it is a backend problem that we are actively working on resolving. Sorry you hit it, I'll let you know when we find a workaround/fix.

Take care!

re: Windows 7 Beta and Zune
I'm a heavy windows media center user, running build 7022, and often when I'm watching TV on my extenders (1 360, 1 DMA 2100, rarely use WMC @ desktop), I get a message on the Device Status screen saying "Windows Media Center is using your Zune, to see Sync status close that program."   Shouldn't be getting that while running MC on another device.  Gotta sign out of WMC on the extender(s) in order to sync.

Its a pain, please fix.

Just so I'm clear here, you are watching TV on an extender (live TV or recorded TV?). You launch the Zune software, connect your Zune device. Then, in the device status screen, it says that WMC is using your Zune?

Is there anything else I need to know to repro this? I'd like to try to repro this in house so we can attempt to resolve it.

Feel free to PM me with more info.

Thanks.
