And depending on the size of the image, it will take up way more space than it just being simple text.

    Ya see I'm not very techologically inclined, so I have no idea what the process would be and how hard it would be to do.  I would just really like to be able to have the head phones on, zuned out to the music while the lyrics are always automatically scrolling across the bottom of the screen.  That way at any point in the song I could just look...and there they would be all synced in at the right time so that way I could ALWAYS EASILY find the lyrics to the songs...I'm just lazy and don't want to go looking on the internet for the lyrics or have to chill with the music and a booklet in my hand. lol

    It would just make the listening process mush more enjoyable- if when I bought a new album and I put it in my computer/in my dvd player or transfered to the zune, that when playing the songs it would automatically show up on the computer/t.v. or zune.  This would probably need a specially modified disc because it would be a different type of format?...ex like it's a cd it doesn't carry any type other type of info other then text.?..??  I don't know what I'm talking about haha sorry it's late for me, but hopefully someone got the just of what I wanted to say!

Well, the lyrics scrolling would be too much. Im pretty sure. Would it be too much to just like click the middle button and then like choose lyrics on that menu thing? Then if the song changes, it would skip right to the other song's lyrics.

i made a post like this before too. someone said it would waste battery life, but thats an overstatement. the zune should most definitely have lyrics and a lyrics box. it is a key simple feature to mastering the zune's music capability

i think that if zune had put lyrics on there zune that would be great but some bands that aren't that well known my not have lyrics.  and about that i don't think people should be able to make lyircs for the artist.. kind of like wikipedia where people can change the info.  but i really do think that the zune staff should envelope this idea into there next upgrade.  you think that if enough people write in that we could get lyrics on the thoughts of the big heads.

The old zune software had A spot where you could add  lyrics to the songs but I never could fig. out what it was supposed to be used for

well to add to this
it'd be cool to have different sets of language lyrics

like lets say you have a song in spanish
you'd have the lyrics in spanish of course
then the option to have translated lyrics like in english or a language of your choice

and then it'd be nice to have the lyrics set up like karaoke lyrics;
like optional and i realize it'd take a bit of work for the user to do so
but i think it'd be worth it IMO

a lyrics options for the next upgrade would be cool, it really isn't a hard thing to do but w.e or maybe theyre savin it for the ZUNEtouch it'd be sick, a zune touch? damn, i would buy it the 1st day it comes out

I really wanted this in too.

This idea has been around since before upgrade 3.0. One of the developers acknowledged the idea in the most popular forum for that topic. saying something like "we will look into it, it would be a good idea". apparently that never happened...
