re: Zune In Car

I have an FM transmitter in my Expedition that I live on. My vehicle goes nowhere without my Zune being plugged in. I keep it tuned either very high or very low - never in between. I have read on the forums that some people cannot find a station depending on where they live (the smaller the city the better).

Mine works just fine with my 30G but not with my 80G. It puts out a HIGH pitched noise when I plug in my 80G. I cannot tell you why I just know it does. That is the ONLY problem I have with it. I pull it out of my lighter when I park for work. It has never drained my battery when I leave it plugged in though (after a 10 hour day).

Its not a docking station; it's just a simple plug into the bottom of my Zune like the sync cord.

Yeah I have ordered the ZNCBLPAK, which will connect to an existing RCA Aux Jack, but the problem is that Soundgate does not have the cable necessary for the F-250 2005-06 model, But... I have called FORD directly and they have referred me to a company that holds that type of harness that will provide me with the RCA jacks, so I will be going to order it at the store probably tomorrow as they require a deposit and hopefully by next week it should be all set and working.

Fingers Crossed ...

re: Zune In Car

I just wanted to add my review of the Zune FM Transmitter. I drove from CT to Florida and I can honestly say it worked very good. The one thing that gave me trouble was trying to find new stations once I got into another state. There were times it seemed like I was listening to a cd. My biggest challenge has been here in Florida because there aren't as many stations to choose from. The price is a little steep but I got it from Circuit City on sale, plus I had a gift card so it cost me $25 bucks out of my own pocket. Worth trying since I just bought my car and there was no way I was going to get a new radio right now.  The biggest inconvience for me is when I'm listening to a song and i drive out of the stations frequency its sometimes a pain trying to find a new station in a very large metro area. I didn't have a lot of static unless I was driving to far from the stations frequency.

Personally, if your deciding between getting a new radio with aux jack or the FM transmitter I would probably go with the new radio only because you could get a cheap radio for only about $20-$30 dollars more then the transmitter and you know the Aux jack is going to work. If your like me and funds are low right now then I would go head and buy the transmitter check to see if there is a return policy and try it out. You never know!

Well I received my ZNCBLPK, which consists of the cable with the rca connectors that will Jack into my radio, I tried it into my Cadillac which as a jack in the front of it and sound from the headset jack and it was ok, when connected with this cable it was louder and better, plus this cable also charges the zune while in your car.

Now I'm waiting for the cable that makes rca connectore available on my F-250 original radio, which will permit me to connect my zune to the ZNCBLPK and use the Aux button on the radio to activate my music, in all it will have cost me about 250-275, which I consider Ok since I want to keep my original radio and keep my Harley Davidson Truch << As Is >>.  As soon as it's installed, later this week I will be able to tell you how it sounded, especially I have 2 15 In subwoofers in there.

Well it ain't complicated many Original radios have the Aux button on but not the connector for it, so basically it's a cable that connects to your radio and the original cable from the vehicule connects into these and it as an external box that provides you RCA jacks, therefore making your Aux button active, the other cable the ZNCBLPK gives you the zune connector to be able to listen and charge your zune, seriously it's a really awesome gadget that I found on an other forum and I just can't wait to have it functionnal.

re: Zune In Car
Hi. I read this thread but i am not exactly sure if any of these solutions will work for me. Any help would be apreciated.

I have a relatively old ('92 ish) Nissan Sentra. A while ago i replaced the cassette player for a cd player without an AUX input. Now i am trying to find a way to connect my zune to the car for as cheap at posible.
In the OP some after market aux adapters were mentioned. I was wondering if they could posibly be of use to me.

Thanks,
Ghost117
