Furthermore, if one were to ask said Spanish-speaking people what they are, the greater majority would respond with their country of orgin. Oh so very few would actually say that they're "Hispanic-Latin."

hmm well i dont call myself "Latin"... to me, "Latin" people are those that speak/spoke Latin; like the people the Romans conquered. that language didnt make it to the Americas until Cortez and company invaded and annihilated the peoples here in the form of Spanish.
