"zune premiums
good stuff, wish they were built to last"

Agreed! Mine worked well, but the cloth would separate and the cord would protrude out and get caught on everything. But they really are great. I myself are referring to the v2s tho. The v1s were kind of off on fitment. The v2s reminded me of some sennheiser cx300, which I love. Anyways, for the money, the sony bumpin buds can't be beat for the second gen zunes, especially the 80 and 120.

I use the standard ear buds that came with my Zune.  I am looking for some good wireless ones but I haven't found any yet.

I'm assuming you mean for home use? Being the zunes don't have bluetooth. Besides, wireless headphones usually suffer in the SQ department, especially BT ones. Call me old fashioned, give me a cord any day for my portable devices.

re: Favorite Headphones?
I like the fit and sound quality of the Zune premiums, and I've managed to nurse them along for over a year in spite of the weird hemorrhaging on the cloth cover where the rubber-jacketed inner cable wiggles out of the cloth housing and comes close to kinking. The left side did this months ago, I had to cut to the cloth jacket to prevent a really tight kink and now there is a 3+ inch section where the cloth jacket is absent. In the past 2 weeks the right side cable experienced the same problem. I baby my headphones, when they're not on my head they live in an empty Altoids tin. I can only imagine how quickly Zune premiums must expire for those who just wrap the cords around their Zune.

I'm now eyeing some Altec Lansing backbeat plus, UHP206. Anybody have experience with these? They are one of the few options that have a low profile plug that will fit in the tiny hole in the Zune 80GB leather case. I also have a pair of Shure's, but even after some Exacto knifing the Shure plug still can't squeeze through the access hole on the leather case.

I Just got a pair of Monster Turbines and they are fantastic for a set with great bass and treble. They only put me back $100.  (Got them from dell for $50 off)

I prefer the Shure 530 to the Bose - less noise better sound - But I appreciate that Bose does a good product as well.

My favorite pair of headphones are the Studio Beats By Dr. Dre. Very high quality sound.

Not a fan of earbuds but Zune Premium are very comfortable compared to the other brands.
