And it was a mixture of MMMBop the song and Zac Hanson himself.

I was a little more than obsessed.

I still love them today.

Metallica Master of Puppets was first- friends older brother was playing it when i was 12 in '92,Thought it was amazing for my mom listened to old country music only and that was my only exposeure to music back then.

  the next day, my mom had to go to venture, I took my allowance money snagged up the tape cassestte, and started growing my hair out. (god looking back 12 year old metal kids look funny as hell )

sound like we a had similar childhoods when i saw the cover to motley crues shout at the devil i said those are the ugliest women ive ever seen and everyone in my class laughed at me

original 30g purchased nov 2006 and 2nd gen 80g

Metallica the Black Album.  Enter Sandman.  I never put my money into CDs before then because the radio played the most of the older Metallica stuff and the rest of the music I liked.  Six years later, I was burnt out on Metallica and their big change in musical direction, but that was good music for the time :)

Jesus... the first CD I ever bought with my own hard earned money was the first Blind Melon CD.  I was in Junior High, enamored of the song "No Rain", and I plopped down $13 at Best Buy for it.  Hated the rest of it, but then again, I was 12. 

There is no problem so big that cannot be solved by judicious application of firepower.

Wow....I'm dating myself. I'm sure I didn't buy it myself because I was really little, but my first album (to the best of my memory) was The Partridge Family. I took it everywhere, anywhere someone would be able to play it for me. Thank goodness for the ZUNE!

The first album I was ever given was Cat Stevens "Teaser and the FireCat", for the songs Moonshadow and Peace Train. I still love that album.

The first album I ever bought was Rush, "Hemispheres", because I had piled up in a van with all my buds and gone to see the show. It was a transforming experience.

AC/DC's "Back In Black" on cassette. I played "Hell's Bells" so many times I wore the tape out.
