the lost boys had some great songs on it for sure from lou gramm and roger daltrey

Ha, pretty sure your sig says it all.  Used to catch his show every year.  Not lately, but once a parrothead, always a parrothead.....

My choice for the topic would be the Dazed and Confused Soundtrack though.  Awesome collection of classic rock songs.

Edit: as far as orchestrated music, I'd go with the soundtrack from "Once Upon A Time In The West."  It kicks major a**, and is my favorite of Ennio Morricone's spaghetti western scores....Actually, anything by the guy.  In addition to The Good The Bad and The Ugly, A Fistfull of Dollars, etc., he's the guy that scored The Mission, The Untouchables, and Cinema Paradiso.

i thought for sure when i started this thread id be reminded of some great classic soundtracks not all these new movie soundtracks such as the 300 soundtrack i dont know anyone that would actually listen to that apart from watching the movie

Now if we are talking about Score, I would say probably anything that John Williams does, like star wars and superman and such.  Now if it is just a Inspired by soundtrack I would say Across the Universe or the Spider-Man 1 and 2 Soundtrack, 3 didnt really catch me at all.

10 Things I Hate About You. I listen to it all the time. I love Letters to Cleo's cover of I Want You to Want Me. Every song on the album is awsome.

10 Things I Hate About You is definately a good one. I listen to a lot of soundtracks so I could list them all if I felt like typing forever. Two good ones are The Commitments and Iron Eagle.

a new all time favorite, the 'Juno' soundtrack is super cute
'The rocky horror picture show' soundtrack makes my day every time I hear it
I like the soundtrack to 'the phantom of the opera'
'the color purple' has a few songs that I adore
I love almost all of the disney movie soundtracks
'Cry-baby' soundtrack is too great
'the little shop of horrors' the downtown song
'hairspray'
'dreamgirls' is a newer favorite of mine
and a real real favorite would be the soundtrack to the movie 'rent'

Haha, how could I forget '10 things I hate about you' I loved the movie and the soundtrack.
Cant help but sing along when the songs come on :]
