zune working on mac-that market is way too small and definitely not worth the profit for Microsoft to invest the cash in. Most of us bought the zune before we switched over to Mac. if we don't figure it out on our own (which there are plenty of resources out there, whether they cost money or not) i am guessing we were written off as a loss anyway to microsoft since we ditched the windows os anyway...
I would prefer microsoft invest in the HD zune or doing something about the obvious car adaptor issue. I just bought a car today with no tape deck and a freaking built in ipod adapter-boo. i hate the fm option (they suck!) and i am not going to open up my new cars radio for an mp3 player. still not switching to ipods.
Not worth the profit? that was ridiculous. why cut off a market? isnt some money better than no money?
Plus, in this economic situation, few people have the money to just go blow it on software they'll only use once a week max? I not saying they wont listen to their music more than once a week...
I'm saying its a pain in the ass to switch back and forth between mac and pc even when running on the same system. (I have done it before, i know what i'm talking about) So, why would you want to go back and forth between the two if you can just run the music on a mac? So, the only time they would even use the dual boot is when they want to put music on their zune. So, thats 80 dollars to run the zune software when they are putting music on it. not worth it.
But, anyway...
The ONLY important issue is: why would you spend 80 dollars to run zune software on a mac? 80 dollars to run music software is not worth the investment...
Mac is a growing market. If Zune wants to make any push into the realm of the iPod, they need to take advantage of the evolving marketplace and not cut off half of their potential customers.
And besides, its only software, how hard and expensive is it to make, honestly?
PC users, some of you need to step off your high horse. This isnt about
you. This is about us mac users who want the zune software at our
fingertips too, or again, in some cases.
Put aside your hate for Macs just because its a Mac. This isnt about
what computer is better, what computer is cheaper, what computer has a
bigger screen. Its about making an mp3 player we all love and its software compatible
for all of us.
This isnt a war of who is bigger and badder and who owns the market.
The fact of the matter is, there is a market. Why not expand to it?
